Definition and Classification of Aluminum Sheets
Aluminum sheets are metallic materials with a rectangular cross - section, made from pure aluminum or aluminum alloys through pressure processing. They have a uniform thickness greater than 0.2 mm and are delivered with straight edges after being trimmed by shearing or sawing.
According to the alloy composition, they can be classified into high - purity aluminum sheets (with an aluminum content of over 99.9%), pure aluminum sheets (with an aluminum content of over 99%), alloy aluminum sheets (such as aluminum - copper, aluminum - manganese, aluminum - magnesium - silicon series, etc.) and composite aluminum sheets. According to the thickness, they are divided into thin sheets (0.2 - 6.0 mm) and medium - thick sheets (6.0 - 200 mm).

Material Properties and Processing Techniques

Application Fields
Aluminum plates are widely used in fields such as building facades, transportation, electronics and electrical appliances, and aerospace. For example, single-layer aluminum plates are used for building exterior wall decoration, the 3003 alloy is used in humid environments (such as air conditioners and vehicle bottoms), the 5052 alloy is used for aircraft fuel tanks, and the 7075 alloy is suitable for high-strength mechanical parts.
